Guidelines for International Applicants (for academic year 2010)
Our entrance examination system for international students provides two types of examinations. You are free to choose one of the two systems which will suit you.
- Applicants are requested to have completed 12 years of academic training or to have received high school qualification in a country other than Japan. And you are requested to be 18 years of age or older.
- Applicants are requested to meet one or more of the following requirements for Japanese language ability;
(1) Those who have received more than 6 months Japanese language education in a Japanese Language Training Institute approved by the Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language. And your attendance rate should be excellent.
(2) Those who have passed above Level 2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
(3) Those who get above 200 scores in the Examination for the Japanese University Admission for International Students.
(4) Those who get above 400 scores in Business Japanese Proficiency Test (BJT).
(5) Those who received formal education more than 1 year in a MEXT approved school. - Applicants are requested to have enough funds for the cost of the living during the planned period of stay in Japan or their guarantors can prove the ability to support. After passing the entrance examination and completing the entrance procedure, a “Guarantor” is required to show the ability of the applicant to meet the financial obligation, study and attendance at the institute.
- Applicant’s parent
- Registered Foreign Citizen of Japan who takes care full legal responsibility for the applicant’s school expenses and other overheads, etc., as well as attendance requirements, observation of school rules and study responsibilities. Guarantor should have recognized residential status in or near Tokyo.
