Ms. Cheng Hui Ting (Taiwan)

Event Lighting Department, 2nd year

I have majored Drama at the university in Taiwan, and worked in a lighting company for about a year. Then one day the shock attacked me when I was watching a Japanese dance performance in Taiwan. The lighting is different…, the staging technique is different…, which has made me to decide to study in Japan. Of course Japanese culture had long been my favorite. My favorite class is practical training about stage, because I can touch and use the real equipments and the timing of making things is pretty exciting. It is enlightening! Currently I work on site job from time to time where my professor introduced me. My dream is to work as a Stage Lightning planner.

Kim Mi Young (Korea)
TOHO GAKUEN Professional Training College of Acoustic Technique
Acoustic Technology Department, 2nd year

I am now under straining at Sunphonix Inc. through my professor’s introduction. I assist as an engineer or an interpreter for an artist from Korea. By assisting PA operation, I feel the sense of the atmosphere of the whole thing to my bones. Lessons at school are all delightful. I love training, but at the same time, our professors are hot in the classes. And after school, together with my classmates, I revue my lessons using the studio with equipments. I decide to study at TOHO GAKUEN just after Open Campus. I try my best to help international students who live away from home and have many things to decide by themselves, by getting rid of the anxieties, at Open Campus. In the future I hope I will plan an event to bridge Japan and Korea, and of course, Planning, PA and Interpreter, it’s me that will do all the things…..!

Previously I have been to Hollywood to work related to the movie making. But since I could not find my place there in that environment, I have given up my wishes once.Just as the moment, when my father stayed in Japan on business, I visited Japan. Japan was the country where soothed me more softly than any other countries, and soon I fitted in Japan. I love Japanese music, movies and anime. I want to be a director of promotion movie in Japan. By the way I love Japanese food, especially ramen and sushi. Now I enjoy myself my Japanese life very much.

An Hyo Jung (Korea)
TOHO GAKUEN Media Training College
Broadcasting Arts Department, 2nd year

In Korea, I entered University to study about Broadcasting. But my passion towards Japanese TV program has brought me to Japan to continue my study. After various research of the schools, I have decided to study at TOHO, because it is quite famous. The attractive point about TOHO is that we can pick up by option certain favorite fields of classes at the colleges in TOHO Group. To be a producer in the future, I thought it would be necessary to get the knowledge of camera and editing, and I took “HD24P Shooting introductory class” by TOHO GAKUEN Film Techniques Training College. At the latter part of 1st year, the production of either 3 minutes drama or informative program to present Japanese towns was my class activity which I had to do all by myself. This experience has given me enormous confidence.

Galeev Timur (Russia)
TOHO GAKUEN Film Techniques Training College
Digital Movie Department, 2nd year

While I was at the university in Russia, I came to Japan by the exchange with the Japanese students. Japan was so attractive to me that I left the university to come back to Japan to continue my study. I was interested in photo and at the same time I loved the movies, then I entered Digital Movie Department. During the lessons, I have made several movies to know that they were a bit difficult as the works done by the student. My works might be difficult for the Japanese, but I will go on trying to send various messages through my movies. I hope…
